Idol, the myth of Arthur Rimbaud exposes the faces of a myth "exploitations", from personal research on the different constructions (and deconstructions) of a myth to works (in Art History), supported by readings
about poet's life and writings, and his image (in large sense of the terms) in the Modern World. It consists in four chapters : Myth As Capital, The Love Of Believers, The New Faces Of The Idol and The Little Modern Gods.
The first three chapters unravel the representation of Arthur Rimbaud and its transformation into a legend, in three areas : the use of his image for financial gain, "fans" honoring him through different representations
and new representations of the poet through interventions by renowned artists. The last chapter is a photographic work depicting Rimbaud "look-alikes", exposing the idea that the adulation of an idol goes through
the personification of the idol itself. Each chapter is preceded by scanned research used for inspiration sources.

This book is primarily presented as an artist book.

With the invaluable assistances of Julie Joubert for photography & Camille Boisaubert for book binding.
